Guided by sharp rocky shore

River soft as silk.

 

Winter gray erased

Tide of colors back to earth

Oceans of flowers.

 

Breaking through branches

Sun descends toward deep blue lake

Sky’s long path to night.

 

Sky blossoms with dawn

Mirror of hidden colors

Deep in volcano.

Colors seep between

Slowly fade to distant peaks

Earth and sky seem one.

Sun too far away

Spinning earth tilts toward winter

Icicles endure.

 

Most leaves torn away

Harvest of sharp autumn winds

Last colors linger.

Fallen leaves swept by

Rushing river filled with pink

Spilled from fading sky.

Emerging from clouds

Mountain wears colored mantle

Tinted by autumn.

Sun peers behind clouds

Towering mountains look small

Against sea of sky.
