Sapling reaches for white light

Above golden grass.

Curling above blue

Endless line of crashing waves

Breaking rocks to sand.

Tinged by orange sun

Clouds float above and below

Tremble in cool marsh.

Mountains, sea and sky

Subtle shades of dark and light

Soft rainbow of blue.

Keyhole carved from stone

Hints of world where blues collide

Sea fades into sky.

 

Tide pool is strange world

Changing as sea ebbs and flows

Water high and low.

Forests creep to sea

Hidden behind swirling mist

Catching passing clouds.
